  1. Nominations & suggestions: Makers can be nominated by peers, customers, or themselves via the Best British Makers directory or Times editorial channels.
  2. Editorial review: The editorial team evaluates nominations alongside product research, consumer enthusiasm, and sector relevance.
  3. Curation & selection: A shortlist is developed by editors based on craftsmanship, innovation, design quality, and British provenance.
  4. Final inclusion: Makers selected for recognition are confirmed for publication in the Best British Makers showcase feature.
  5. Profile & optional marketing: Recognised makers may be offered editorial profiles and guidance on how to promote their inclusion to customers and partners.
